Valentine's Day is almost here and the Street girls can't wait to share their valentines. Emma Jane chose ring pops to hand out to her classmates. In her words, "Everybody loves a ring pop!" Although I helped her come up with the "You Shine, Be Mine" wording, she wrote each card on her own. This took several days to complete since she could only find the patience to create two at at time, but I was proud of her determination to get them all done. As you can imagine, our animated girl LOVES exclamation points and had fun adding extras when there was room. She also added some extra bling with a few glittery heart stickers.
Vivian LOVES fruit, so she will be giving her classmates something fruity. I used cute ribbon to wrap heart-shaped tags around a strawberry fruit roll-up. The tag says, "You are BERRY sweet!" Vivi has had fun drawing on the back of each valentine.
Best of all, Paul and I have been receiving valentines from both girls for weeks now. Here's just a small sample of some that Emma Jane has made on her own. I've really been surprised with her ability to draw a heart and cut it out...kudos to her wonderful preschool teachers!
These are keepers for sure, don't you think?
