I helped Emma Jane compose a letter to the Easter bunny a few days before Easter. Of course, I had to write the letter, but the words were her own. She asked for the usual goodies for herself, but she specifically asked for a hibiscus for Vivian. We had just potted a hibiscus and Emma Jane has been watering it on a daily basis along with lots of other potted flowers. Apparently, the hibiscus is her favorite. Well, low and behold, the Easter bunny DID add a hibiscus flower to Vivi's basket just in the nick of time! I took a picture of Vivi holding her hibiscus. On Easter morning Emma Jane was thrilled to discover her basket had been filled with treats and Vivi was highly entertained by all the squeals from her sister. We had a wonderful morning together reading new books and eating "bunny" pancakes lovingly made by Paul.
